Strategic Execution Office

The Program Office is dead…long live the Strategic Execution Office.   The most significant organizational concept over the past 35 years is the implementation of project or program management offices for cross organizational support.  Prior to the late 1980’s,  few organizations had internal functions that supported the successful execution of projects and programs.  Program offices were created to help ensure the successful planning and execution of programs, and thus the name that was adopted.  But, the term  program management office (PMO) or Enterprise program management office (EPMO) has not clearly reflected the true role of the function.   That role is to support the successful execution of strategic vision and to transform the organization to a culture of project and program leadership excellence.   Too often, PMOs and EPMOs either become and/or are perceived to be process generators and process enforcers.  As overhead.  And that is why over 90% of all PMO implementations have failed to provide long lasting value to their organizations.  Strategic Execution Offices are different.  They transform their organizations to a culture of execution excellence.

We created the Strategic Execution Office concept and support our clients with their successful transformations.    Let us help you develop a road map to strategic success.   Contact us to set up a meeting to discuss how we can help you rapidly transform you organization with Strategic Execution Office(s).
